Ferox Nursery Terms and Conditions

  1. Trading Hours
  • Ferox Nursery operates Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00.
  • Last visiting entry is at 15:30, unless pre-arranged with management.
  • We are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
  • Saturday visits are by appointment only.
  1. Right of Admission
  • Ferox Nursery reserves the right of admission at all times.
  1. Pricing and VAT
  • Ferox Nursery is a VAT-registered business.
  • All prices are exclusive of VAT.
  • A 15% VAT will be added to each TAX invoice.
  1. Payments
  • All deliveries and collections are strictly COD (Cash on Delivery).
  • Customers may apply for a credit account – contact us directly for details and qualification criteria

     

    1. Ownership of Goods
    • All items remain the property of Ferox Nursery until full payment is received.
    1. Wholesale Eligibility
    • Wholesale agreements are valid only if the customer meets the minimum order quantity or value. Contact us to confirm current minimum requirements.
    1. No Consignment Agreements
    • Ferox Nursery does not enter into consignment agreements.
    1. Collections and Crates
    • Customers collecting orders or using a third-party courier must supply their own crates or boxes.
    • Prior arrangements for use of Ferox Nursery crates may be made but will incur an additional fee.
    • Ferox Nursery crates are not to be borrowed, traded, or purchased.

    Delivery and shipment

     

    1. Transport and Delivery
    • Ferox Nursery is not responsible for any damage or loss of goods transported by the customer or a third-party courier.
    • We deliver nationwide, with a flat delivery fee or a percentage of the minimum purchase amount (details available on request).
    • Deliveries by courier will be handled via The Courier Guy, and packaging fees may apply.
    1. Ceramic Bonsai Pots
    • Our ceramic bonsai pots are made using stoneware clay and fired at temperatures exceeding 1200°C to ensure optimal strength and quality.
    • Pots are available in both glazed and unglazed finishes.
    • Sizes may vary slightly (by a few millimetres) due to the natural reaction of clay in the kiln.
    • Lead times may vary depending on load shedding, weather conditions, and kiln firing schedules.
    • Custom orders are welcomed; however, they may incur additional charges depending on the request.

      1. Website Use
      • The Ferox Nursery website is provided for:
        • Sharing product and plant information
        • Retail staff training
        • Showcasing plant varieties and available pot sizes
      • Product pricing is not published on the website – please contact us for a current price list.

      Display Stands and Boards

      1. Display Stands and Banners
      • Ferox Nursery display stands and banners remain the property of Ferox Nursery.
      • We reserve the right to collect stands at any time if terms are not upheld.
      • Only Ferox Nursery products may be stocked on our stands.
      • Injuries caused by moving or stocking the stand are at the retailer’s own risk.
      • Any vandalism or alterations to stands will result in a repair invoice to the customer.
      1. Accessories and Returns
      • Accessories (buckets, bags) may be exchanged after long shelf use or damage caused by natural elements(sun, hail).
      • Broken ceramic pots are non-returnable for credit.
      • Long-standing stock may be returned for credit by selected customers only – this policy does not apply universally.

        Ferox Nursery is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

        • We only collect personal information necessary for order processing, communication, account management, and legal compliance.
        • Your information will never be sold or disclosed to third parties, except when required by law or essential to fulfilling your order (e.g., sharing delivery information with a courier).
        • All customer data is stored securely and used solely for the purpose it was collected.
        • You have the right to request access, amend, or delete your personal data at any time.
