Our Genesis…
At Ferox Nursery, our story is rooted in a deep love for plants and the land they grow in. While the nursery was officially established in 1995, our passion began long before that.
Our founder, Adriaan Louw, was inspired by the simple yet profound experience of watching something green push through the soil and flourish into beauty. What began as a personal passion soon grew into a family venture, shared with his wife and co-owner. Together, they cultivated not only plants but a business built on care, integrity, and the joy of growing.
Today, Ferox Nursery is a proud wholesale supplier to leading retailers and nurseries across South Africa, Zambia, and Botswana. With every plant we grow and every partnership we nurture, we work toward one vision: helping to grow a greener, more beautiful Southern Africa.
Our Office
At Ferox Nursery, quality begins with our dedicated team.Denise, our Cultivation and Stock Manager, works closely alongside the grower and owner to ensure every plant meets the highest standards. With her skilled planting team, she brings structure and consistency to our operations, laying the groundwork for excellence. Once the plants are ready, Dyna—our Head of Dispatch—leads her team in carefully selecting, labeling, and preparing each order so it’s shelf-ready upon arrival.
Our Bonsai Cultivation & Sales Manager, Ky, is a horticulture graduate and passionate bonsai artisan. He and his team nurture a diverse range of bonsai trees, training them from early stages to ensure beauty and strength. Together, Denise, Dyna, and Ky form a dynamic trio—working in harmony to deliver top-quality plants and fulfill every order with precision.
As Managing Director, Benjamin Louw is the backbone of Ferox Nursery’s operations. He seamlessly bridges administration, customer service, and interdepartmental coordination—working closely with the succulent, bonsai, accessories managers, and department heads. From ensuring accurate accounts to keeping products up to date, Benjamin oversees it all. His hands-on approach ensures that every customer query is met with a timely solution and that every aspect of the business runs smoothly and efficiently.
